I have a 05 FE650 only 6mo old and the kick stand just broke off!!! Its right at the upper weld. Has anyone had this problem? Does warranty cover parts? Any help would be nice. I called the dealer but nothing but static from those jerks!! Great bike crappy support.
Same thing happened to me.
It was a clean break. Had a friend lay a new weld on it and I spray painted it Ford blue which is very close to Husaberg blue. Easy fix if you know someone with a MIG welder.

If you are kick starting the bike on the side stand it will break in short order, as far as "crappy support" try another dealer. I get better support for my husaberg than any of my other bikes. My local dealer is motoxotica, fast shipping and lots of stock.

Wow this is a surprise. Mine snapped monday. went to put the stand down and it snapped before it even touched the ground. At first I thought it had retracted.

Well, I had an incident in my garage when my son's Yamaha fell over my Husaberg and both fell on the left side. The kickstand got bent but did not break. I will heat it up before putting it back into shape.
Welding may not be a bad idea in your case, but it may break there again in the future... Depending on the welder's skills.

There is information about this in the Doc. My kickstand broke about 2 years ago. I got that fixed and reinforced the mount on the frame. Since then I have angled the stand more so the bike won`t roll off. If you don`t reinforce the mount on the frame it will break there as well. All the kickstand is for is to hold the bike up, nothing more.
well i welded it up with my mig after grinding the factory weld off and it looks better. i guess only time can tell how long it will last. thanks for the info on the ford blue i picked up a can and shot it looks great!!
