Hi guys,new to the forum and recently got on a 2004 fe450.recently replaced the clutch cover gasket as it was leaking oil and after the greif of getting the kick start shaft and mechanism to stay put i finally got the cover on and all sealed up.kick start works fine and have taken it gor a day and a half worth of riding with plenty of stop and starts to make sure it is all ok.just curious to find out if the kick start shaft popping out is an issue i should be prepared or worried about happening now that its all back together and working properly and held in place by the clutch cover itself or is it just an issue if not installed correctly in the first place
Awesome thanks mate,did you have a lock kickstart after reassembling it all and putting the cover back on?thats what happened to me so i pulled it back off,clutch back out,reset it then put it all back together with the cover back on and was all good so shouldnt have any dramas now,just wanted to be sure
