Keihin needle size questions

I've been searching the available posts on jetting for the Keihins. I have found that you folks out there are using all sorts of main jets with different needles. Such as:
OCFMR
OCEMS
OCFMP
OBDTM
EKQ (?)

What is the code for the needles? According to the '04 tech specs, my FE550 is using a OBDVT in a FCR-MX41. Is there a manual, picture, matrix or something that would tell me how the different tapers relate to each other and to my stock needle?

PS-

Dale- Does your "Race 600" settings make for a starting point for a 550?

Taffy- How does your 400 settings apply to the 550?

FCR tuning

Bazza, go to this site and get the Keihin FCR tuning manual 3.3 by Patrick Burns, I use it all the time.
And I am now running a EHP from my old WR250 fn.

the 550's settings won't be far away. as far as perfect goes well that's a lot harder to acheive!

an e- series will leave your d - series for dead that's for sure!

you won't get the hang of the needle codes for ages, understand the codes maybe but understand the codes and apply them is another thing altogether. the two E series you quote are the ones to go for. and the EMS is too thick coz of the 'S' so that leaves you with the EKQ!

even skully has pulled that bloody DTM out at last!

BTW if you ever ride in rain and mud and want a really soft engine-put the d-series back in!
