keihin leak jet

KTM and Husaberg use a float bowl without the leak jet. I purchased a float bowl for a 2006 Honda CRF450R, leak jets, and accelerator pump kit. Note that you will probably need to re-jet, and change needle, if you go that way. The stock setup uses a very lean needle and jets, with a very large volume acc pump, to meet EPA test standards.

thanks buzzard. Yes it seems lean, I have gone to a 45 pilot and put the needle 6th from the top (it was second from the top to start). Mixture screw 1.25 out. I have the OBDVR needle. With the slip on akropovic muffler it was very lean before this. It popped and cut out on closing throttle. Goes much, much, better now with just those changes. The jetting was close to that suggested in USA Dirt Bike on their 450 FE 2007 test. Because of the big improvement I am wonderiing whether other changes could give such a boost, although I am happy to live with the way it goes now. I am starting to think main jet, currently have a 178?

To be quite honest I liked Dellorto carbis.

I know R&D make a float boal and leak jet adjuster, did you find the Honda set up made a big differece?
