In the carb photo I see the standard manual choke and hot start knobs. I don't know what the 'wire' is hooked to. Is it connected to the TPS (throttle position sensor)?

if the cable (wire) on the carb on the left is a problem, disable it. does it go clear to the handlebars, or does it just mount to the other side of the carb in a loop?
also, that is an odd looking dellorto. what model is it? my '03 501 has a phb roundslide on it.
the standard choke setup on the fcr should be fine.

On the FCR the choke is the black knob. Just remove the cable from the delorto and use the manual black knob.

is it just me or does the carb on the left look like an early FCR rather than a dellorto?

hi !

ok ! so i should replace the wire with a plug instead ? i can get you som more fotor in the morning ...

If the wire is a TPS wire (throttle position sensor) then merely remove it, as Ned stated, the best you can and plug any holes. Or just tape the end and tie it out of the way. As your ignition has no provision for the TPS you can't use it and it won't hurt anything if it is not used.

hello !

im sending some new picture.. its the choke wirek i whant to get rid off. is it possible to replace it ?

i'm confused as to why you want to replace it. you have all you need on the new carb.
(and cypher: that ain't no fcr mkI and it doesn't look like any dellorto i've ever seen.)

hi !

on the picture i have a fcr 41 and a fcr 39 . so that all can se the diffrents on the cabs. the 41 that will go on the bike is the one whit the wire instead of a choke plug.

:D

We all got a little confused, thinking the photos was of the dellorto and the fcr.

now in pic 1 i reckon that the 2 arrowed pipes are just vents missing their pipes, is that correct?

as for the choke, could it be that what looks like a black plunger below the cable is the choke and the cable is actually a bar mounted hot start?

hi !

thats correct .. i was just i little bit insecure ;)

the carb was taken of a honda CRF450 .. i dont know but do they have it ? pictures please ;) ?
would be great if someone has got that information ...

best regards

fwiw, on carbs such as the 39 pictured, the hot start is the lower of the two. ????

found a schematic on bike bandit and it does look like on the hondas fcr that the cable is the hot start and the plunger below it is the choke so all i'd do is mount that cable on your bars and your away with a bar mounted hot start.

hi !

ok so you say that should get the "control arm" from the honda and mount that on my bar and connect the cable to it ?

if you want the hot start yes get a lever, if not there is a plastic plug what will take the cable's place.

i used 2006 yfz450v (quad)parts. items 32-33-34-54 in this diagram. can't remember if i used all the parts or just the plug--i pluged a yzf450--2006 carb. hope this helps some.
