Jetting suggestions for riding at 4000 feet and above?

I'm getting ready for a ride in a month or so where we will be starting out at about 4000ft and riding up to 9772ft max. The bike is an '04 550, which is running good for me at 400ft here at home. I rarely ride above 4000ft, so in the past I've just left things alone. But for this adventure, I want to be set up good enough to show off the Berg to the other non-Bergers. What do you folks suggest for jetting for this adventure? :?:

i helped a lot of carolina type chappies when on TT and the general concensus was down 10 on the MJ and that will ripple through the entiure jetting and help everything.

Thanks. Should I mess with the needle any; change sizes or position? I cleaned up my idle circuit for here at home (400ft), but other than that the rest is stock, out of the box.

no barry

as said, just drop the jetting 10 and that will ripple through the jetting leaning off the entire jetting through needle pilot and tickover. hell! it even leans out the starting slightly!

each area of the dell orto overlaps but doesn't affect more than the next stage.

OK. But my '04 doesn't have a Del Orto, its got the new pumper unit: Keihin MX FCR 41. The concept still applies, I would assume? Jetting carbs is not one of my strong points. I just want to be set up to roost the non-Bergers on this ride.

FCOL Barry!!!!

when i first answered yer post it was for the keihin as you made it clear that you have an '04.

Sorry, I get easily confused. It is probably all the Arsine, Boron, and Phosphine floating around the cleanroom here at work that addles my noggin'.
