Got a 37 FCR and need to know the jet sizes for a FC470e with a std exhaust. Its set up fine at the moment but its got a open can. When i did put the std can on it didn't want to start on the e-starter but kicked ok if i remember rightly. Tbh i don't know what jets are in it at the moment?

Cheers

the carb is too small at 37mm. full stop.

my engineer is about to try and bore my 39 out to 41mm. needs to check hold and viability. he does everything perfectly and for pocket money as well. the 37mm shares the same body as the 39mm and the 41mm

could you let me have the carb and he'll see if it can be bored out? and if so i'll ask to borrow it for my next dyno fest. i'll even fit all the jets and stuff from this thread FOC if you get them. or i'll order them and you pay me back as and when.

this is the thread i've been putting everything on;

latest jetting is in the last post. if you take it to 41mm you'll be doing the right thing. i've measured all the ports etc and dale lineweaver has confirmed it as well; they're undercarbed at 39mm.

Sounds like a plan, when would you want the carb for?

Funny tho, i've always thought a 37mm carb is a bit small and a weird size, but then again i've normally only ever had dellortos, which always seemed a bit large :?

well i could do with the carb at the end of march. we should get on with the carb work whenever you're ready.

the 37's normally come off a 250F of one of the big four. i'll PM you the address. where did you get it? i've been following a lot of carb sales on ebay and they're making E300 or £200+.

was yours cheaper than that?

my carb has been fitted to the bike since i brought it, with a open can its fine, but a restricted can its a bit over jetted i think?
