Hey guys,
Been a few years since I've posted. Took the 550 out today with a couple friends to ride some trails that are new to me. Well, we were riding around for a couple hours and everything was going pretty good. Then I hit a branch that was sticking into the trail while I was going mid 3rd gear. It got me right in the neck. Thought it broke my collar bone. Luckily the only thing that broke was the branch. We kept riding, the trails were pretty good, some fast and some techincal. We were doing all these different loops criss-crossing all over the place. Next, we came to a stop to do this hill climb. Then one of the guys says "hey, the flap is open on your camelback". He asked if I had anything in here. I said "yeah, my phone, wallet, registration and a candy bar". Now this kinda sucks. We retraced every trail that we had ridden in the past couple hours. Except this time we did them all in 1st gear. It was rough weaving between every stone. Took a long time. Finally we said to hell with it and headed back to the parking area. About 100 feet from where my friend was parked there was my candy bar, I stopped and looked around more and there was my phone impacted into the mud. Luckily it's an old Motorola and it still works. I walked up the trail a bit more then found my registration and finally my maroon colored wallet. I guess I forgot to zip up my camelback.
Even though the second half of the ride was slow, it was still good to just get out and ride.
