It does not ignite gasoline pump and has no spark - FE 390

Hi, I'm from Spain, and this is the only Husaberg forum I've found. First, excuse me for my English. I think that in this section of the forum, I have the right solution for my fault, since it seems that the bike's failure is electric. Excuse me if the subject has been discussed in another post, but I still do not understand the search in the forum very well.

I have a Husaberg FE 390, in which I have a current problem, I have looked for the fault and I am not able to find it.

I begin to tell you how everything has been:
Use the bike perfectly as other times and when you leave it, remove the spark plug to change it, do not have it in the moment and leave it removed to put it the next day.
When I put the spark plug, the bike started and after about five seconds, it stopped. I start again and the same.
I start with the following tests:
· Gasoline pump
· Gas filters
· Stop button
· Fall sensor
· Fuses
· Another new spark plug
· ...
After these tests and visually check the wiring, the gas pump stops working and the spark plug does not spark ...
I have tried the main relay, the petrol pump, the relay I have put a new one but it remains the same. If I do tests on the relay, and the pump works and has a spark, the engine starts but stops after five seconds.
I have also put a switchboard or CDI of another Husaberg FE 390, and it does the same.

A greeting.

Try this first pour a very small amount of fuel into throttle body start it and if it stays running it should be the fuel pump or any of the 4 fuel filters. Be safe and good luck

Thank you very much, I already change the filters and test the gas pump.
Yesterday I tried to remove the four-wire connector of the relay, and started the current from the tab to the cable that goes to the relay of the starting pump, the motor started and did not stop.

it seems that the starting relay does not
gives signal to the relay of the gas pump. tomorrow I will buy a new starter relay and try it.
Greetings and thank you.

sorry for my English

I’m happy to hear that there might be some progress in this puzzle - And i must say that your English is fine!!

Tighten all screws to that relay first check fuse might be corroded. Just giving some ideas be you buy anything. The loose screws happened to me.

Thank you Rainerio. Now probe to tighten the terminals, also change and test the fuses. Throughout today I hope to test a starter relay, and that everything works well before buying one.
Doing the test I got the motorcycle was ripped and did not stop, accelerated and did everything right.

Greetings and thank you.

Check the new start relay and remains the same, I have to check the electrical installation from the start relay to the relay of the gas pump, although the verifications that I was doing was all correct, I will study the electrical diagram well, to find where it is failure.

Likely not the case here, but worth mentioning in case someone reads this thread in the future and have some kind of problem with the bike running like crap. Do make sure the battery terminals are fastened properly, I know it sounds silly, but really really make sure :) I got this intermediate rough running and eventually I recognized the pattern of when I sat down it coughed while standing up it was fine, and blabla battery terminal.
Had it happen on the kato once after that too, but then I was aware it might be a problem so easy fix.

Best of luck!

Hello, I have not had much time to look again at the Berg, I've tried the battery issue.
The motorcycle gets to start it and it keeps starting, if I'm going to switch off the pump relay, it works, yesterday I used the motorcycle with a cable bypassing the relay. Everything OK, the light of the injection has a fault that now I will see what error corresponds, so I may be directed something, if it has any sensor or similar that fails.

I have checked that the relay cables are good and have continuity, but in the relay of the pump in the number 85 and 86 with the motorcycle stopped there is always current as in 30. Only should have current 86 and 30 which are red / white and the 85 that is Black / white when pressing the start button closes the circuit and gives way to 87 Yellow / red which is the current that sends the pump and / or switchboard. Right now, when I join 80 and 37, the pump charges and I give the starter button and it works perfectly, although the fault stays on, now I will see the flashing sequence and I hope it helps me to find something out.

Greetings and many thanks to all.

When you figure it out, let us know. I'm having similar problems with my FE390. It starts, runs rough, backfires, then eventually cuts out. I've replaced the fuel pump, plug and plug wire.

The problem has not been solved yet, I put a direct switch to the petrol pump relay, the switch is activated, it loads the petrol pump and you can start, then you have to change and position the switch and the motorcycle works without problems. If you do not change the position, the switch will drain the battery. It is a very rare problem, you may end up mounting a new electrical installation ...

Greetings

I had one leg burnt off the ecm of mine that made it a nightmare to figure out caused all sorts of starting running g issues pin was in the ecm itself not the plug
