thx for the headsup about robert, we don't get that news over here for awhile. first joey and now robert, bummer! (Us redneck yanks had clifford and then davey)i'm still mourning the loss of robert dunlop. a very sad day.
as far as the relationship between dealers and customers, i think its really changing. not necessarily for the better. in today's business world the manufacturer is concerned about selling the unit to the national distributor, who in turn is concerned about selling the unit on his terms to the dealer. more and more mega dealers are sprouting up and the personnel the customer is talking to generally knows very little about our sport. a niche brand like the berg can never exist on its own if they want to move units, there just aren't enough people out there that know enough about them. for this reason, i think the UHE (and i don't use caps lightly) serves one the most valuable services for the brand that currently exists. granted, a lot of the time when somebody new looks at the site (that's SITE, luke), they get to see all of berg's warts, but quickly understand that there is something special going on here.
