well you can certainly open the left side and have a look for anything nasty.
check and record your crank float.

its me taffy (steyel) have stripped top end and checked cam bearings cam chain and piston and barrel also stripped left side and checked all bearings and gears but nothing obvious, really pissing me off to be honest because the the flakes are quite big, iv changed airfilter every ride and havent thrashed the bike , iv read some of the other threads and it doesnt sound good
 
cheers for the reply, iv spoken to taffy and checked my valve spring shims and there knackered! faulty shims or something
