Is the Trailtech X2 HID Worth the Price over the X2 Halogen?

As the title reads...
Is the HID X2 worth the extra pop over the Halogen X2?
I want to upgrade the stock headlamp after being caught out after dark a few times and thinking my Zippo lighter would throw more light...
Any insights/experiences would help,

Yes

It's not likely you will ever
over ride that light in a normal offroad situation.

Thanks for the input. A few of my riding buddies have the X2 halogen, which is head and shoulders above my stock light. I haven't had opportunity to see/use the HID version.

Did you guys experience any fitment issues?
Are you using the optional rock guard?

The HID is the way to go! You may have to do a little trimming on your speedo bracket but the fitment is easy. Most guys are using the rock guard, however, Trail Tech is now saying they may run hot with the rock guard installed.......

i've done 3 rallys with it and wont leave home without it anymore. well...sort off.

anyway in the forest at night it is allmost easier to ride than in the daylight. the pictures you see on the trailtech website to compare the different options are true. I esed it both normally instead of the stoch headlight and in rally trim with ICO and roadbook.
