BMW Flat Tracker Showcased At The Concours

Winter Garden, FL (May 1, 2008)--Dale Lineaweaver of Lineaweaver Racing, built a BMW brand flat track motorcycle. The BMW gained respect from racing enthusiasts as well as the industry.

A prestigious invitation to a notable event arrived at Lineaweaver Racing, "A mistake has been made! I don't own a show bike. Form follows function and I am still working on function. They want me to show it? I had better call BMW and confirm this",notes Dale.

Dale and the BMW will be featured at the Legend of the Motorcycle International Concours d’ Elegance on Saturday May 3, 2008.

Legend of the Motorcycle International Concours d’ Elegance is an annual, luxury charitable event. Covering over a century of motorcycle history, the invitational showcases and judges approximately 150-200 of the finest pre-1978 motorcycles from around the world. I was at the event on Saturday and got to see Dale's creation up close and also met Dale himself. It was one of the highlights of the show for me...the bike is truly a work of art and im sure represents many hours of loving labor. Cheers,Keith

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BMW Flat Tracker Will Run the Mile

El Sobrante, CA (May 6, 2008)--Dale Lineaweaver walked into Marin BMW last year with the dreams to converting a BMW F800 into a flat track race bike. Daytona 2008 is when Dale got to bring the F800 onto the track and grab the attention of those watching the festivities. Dale recruited Bryan Hazel, from Georgia, to race the new stallion.

Two months later, Dale feels more confident that the BMW can perform on the mile. After contacting rider Bryan Hazel, the BMW will be entered at the prestigious Springfield Mile, Springfield, Illinois on May 25, 2008.

"The BMW is built and tested in stages. A fast, grooved track will expose any potential chassis issues. We can always add horsepower, however, big, fast and sticky is required to tax the chassis. Springfield is the next logical step", explained tuner and builder Dale Lineaweaver.

“Dale and I have decided to run the BMW on the Springfield mile because we both feel it is the next step in the process. I feel that we need to take it to the next step and see where it goes from there. I tested the bike in Florida for three days and we came a long way with it, the mile is next to really see where it is. I'm hoping it will show potential on the mile. I felt that after testing at Volusia, it was a GNC caliber bike. So were going to Springfield to see what we have to do next, notes rider Bryan Hazel.

Recently, the BMW has been on display in California during the Legend of the Motorcycle, an annual, luxury charitable event. Covering over a century of motorcycle history, the invitational showcases and judges approximately 150-200 of the finest pre-1978 motorcycles from around the world. It also includes an annually designated marquee, and hosts special displays of contemporary custom racing and concept bikes.

The Springfield Mile hosts the best of the best. The track is always better than average and spectators are treated to the finest jaw-dropping thrill show. Watching handle bar to handle bar, coming out of the corners at 4 and 5 wide. The racers are equally excited as this is their first twins race of the series.

A partnership with Marin BMW, Michler's HD / BMW and Gina's BMW, DPC, and She Loves Racing’s involvement helps to validate the program.

Plans of racing others on the Grand National circuit have yet to be determined.
