intake boot 650

The intake boot # 590.36.044.000 (rubber mount between carb and head) on the 650 has some serious mismatch with the carb bore and the inlet port. Has anyone come upon a solution? Could one off the 450/501/550 #800.36.044.000 be altered for a better fit?

NEVER FOUND THE MOUTH TO MOUTH FIT TO BE ANY GOOD I'M AFRAID. ALWAYS PORT THE BOTTOM EDGE AS UNFORTUNATELY THE MIX IS DRIVEN UP INTO THE HEAD AND AS IT ENTERS: THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE PORT FALLS AWAY BADLY!

the 650 is even worse but it's done so that somehow the carb is kept low enough to fit in the 'boot' and then onto the frame!

nightmare!
