hey you bergers
i just got a zumo 550 gps. do any one now how to wire, it only takes 1A and then i i was thinking about wiering it whith the headligths......

sorry my bad english

I would connect it to the battery directly, that way whether the bike is on or off, the GPS will not die on you, which forces you to reset. Just make sure you have a 1A fuse box on electrical line.

RAM-Mounts are the best, that's what I use with my Garmin V.

The one issue IMHO is that it is quite exposed when mounted on a bike and I'd hate to see the result of a high speed crash. Unless they come with a mount as protective as the one they developed for the V (that's what I have below, I advise you use the U bolt the same short arm).

for wiring and mounts try this place here in the states.

With my GPS, I got the stock Garmin cars lighter charger cut it and used that with 2 amp inline fuse wired to my battery. In the manual they had wire codes.

I don't know if the Zumo has a BNC port for external antenna, but those are not bad to have either, they allow woods and canyon riding.
