Input on valve condition

I pulled the head apart on my 01 fe650 and this is what I found. I'm open to input. I've never had a high perf four stroke apart before. I'm curious about the rim of the valve by the head that is inthe cylinder and not sitting in the seat. Is this normal?

the valves look OK on this occasion but the lower left (inlet) seat in the head looks horrible!!!!!

get the two inlet seats cut as a minimum I think. It looks a little like one of the exhausts isn't sitting correctly. have a look 360 degrees around the seated part for light and dark shading. may have to have the valve and the seat done there but it could also be a trick of the light.

Thanks, It is a light related illusion. Stopped by the machine shop today, I think I'll have all the seats and valves done while I have it taken apart. Is there anything special that the guys at an automotive machine shop need to know before they get going?

check the valve guides for wear, if worn consider replacing with KTM sintered iron guides rather than the bronze ones, also make sure the new valves sealing face is an even width around its circumference. the good one is on the right
