Inlet adaptor 89-03

those adapters have been available all along from myself.... mine are oval shaped to blend to the Husaberg inlet port.

They look fantastic JoJo

They don't have a sharp transition from round to oval like the other "available" ones

Very nice work and a fantastic price

wrong. they work out at 58.42gbp and mine are 47.99gbp. it's clear from the photo that they have a round exit and not an oval one that's required. They are made for Husqvarnas with a fully circular join between the exit (and) join (to) the head.

They don't have a sharp transition from round to oval like the other "available" ones
my stubs also blend across to the head very closely on the 2001-2003s. so quite a false statement.

I have sold 100 of the stubs and collected another 50 this week.

to be plausable you have to be truthful and you've never been truthful.

I cannot understand the blatant disregard for the ones already available!?
It's like half of you guys just totally blank any posts made my taffy, and the excellent products he produces and sells.

His part is cheaper, and he has commented technically on the design and style and reason for this. Yet he rarely recieves praise like others do on the effort he puts in.

The inlets have a free form not exactly oval. It's not quite visible on the image. My colleague constructed the port CAD/CAM.

The pieces made by JoJo are much better in design and construction than Taffy's

I made 10 of these myself on my machine so I can fully appreciate what is involved. it's not like taffy makes anything he just organises bits for money.

Taffy can't even figure out that the round to oval transition doesn't have to be sharp.

The half of us who disregard Taffy's posts are the ones who will buy things elsewhere

If the price of these ones was double Taffy's they would still be a fantastic price !

What is wonderful Is that people are willing to have a go at helping us out .

Please show JoJo some respect he's being honest and polite ...

I'm in no way shooting down the offerings from Jojo, and the fact that people wish to get involved with still producing things for these bikes.

My point is there is a deliberate slander of a particular persons product in your first post, highlighting particular words and referring to a product in a negative manner. To anyone else reading the thread for the first time, and having zero technical knowledge, will look and think, well maybe I should buy off the other guy because people don't seem to like this taffy fella, and think his product is worse.

Well its not, simple as. The truth in the matter is you havent got any testing between the 2 products, therfore your opinion can only be... Your opinion.

I am a technical engineering guy, I fully understand and appreciate engineering, and also flow patterns in to heads, I've built countless manifolds for bike carbs conversion on cars, and I understand fully, the technical aspects of carbs and the intake runners and what effect they have on a engine.

Taffy's products has had a additional process of machining, quite clearly visible in the picture below, to allow it to port match the bikes head.
I think this is a key technical aspect, and look to any engine builder/tuner, and they will tell you a smooth transition of airflow avia port matching is a long standing method of engine tuning. And although taffy himself didn't make this part, neither is jojo making his.
Both have had them made. The only difference is that perhaps taffy went to somebody to haven't CAD drawing done, as apposed to drawing it himself.

I also feel I should mention, that taffy archived a enormous power goal on a 650 racing engine, and I'm going to hazard a guess, this inlet pipe was probably fitted to that engine. (happy to be corrected otherwise) So in terms of proof, I think there will be sufficient amount to prove it's a high quality part, doing exactly the jobs Its specificied to do.

Dear spuddy

So you believe that taffy made a 100hp 650 ... That is a blatant lie

I have plenty of reasons not to support a seller who is abusive rude and defensive

Taffy could have left this thread alone but he chose to try to use it to sell his own version

JoJo has a better product . It's not easy to make a smooth transition hence it costs more

I'm sorry to be negative about your mates product but he is claiming that JoJo's doesn't match the head properly and that his does.

This is incorrect !

If he hadn't attacked JoJos product I wouldn't have pointed out his ignorance of geometry

I agree with what you write about perception but Then you must see that It's not a level playing field if taffy is allowed to freely slander any opposition with completely incorrect observations .

People could read this thread and assume that JoJo's product doesn't fit just because taffy said it's round ....

Equality has 2 sides ...

Further more ... Taffy's do not have an additional process that makes it fit better ! The difference is in the transition from one end to the other ... JoJo and mine are completely smooth. Taffs one has a transition that comprises of 2 shapes meeting abruptly in the middle

The others fit just as well but without an abrupt transition.

It always amazes me the complete level of immaturity directed at potential customers for someone that is trying to survive selling old dirt bike parts

I really do see where you're coming from Spuddy18. And I understand.

After a reasonably long while on the forum I now feel confident in pointing towards Taffy's own conduct as captured in forum history to give an understanding of general distrust and resistance towards Taffy.

I really feel like the trouble is, people don't know him personally, and how someone may reply on a forum, or any non face to face contact, can often be interpreted different to how it was intended.
This seems to be exactly the case here.
I know him personally, purely through the dealings I've had when building my 650, and he is a extremely helpful and knowledgeable guy, always offering advice, often at no benefit to himself. Which is hard when your business relys on people needing your parts and services.

The good thing is, people who seems to have dealt with him personally can appreciate where he is coming from, and they seem to go back for repeat business.

I certainly do and will continue to.

If someone's apparent 'forum personality' offends you enough to openly suggest you will always go somewhere else to pay more money for the same product, then your just a bit sad. [emoji23]

Again, I really don't mean any discredit to jojo the OP. I apologise to him/her for how the thread has ended up.

fwiw I can assure you it's more concrete and serious than that

But let's move on <3

Dear spuddy

This thread is a perfect example of why taffy can't be allowed to push his wares without some scrutiny.

He posts that JoJo's adaptor isn't oval and 50 percent of everyone reading it believes it to be true

Untill i explained it ! This included you .....

It is incorrect to say that JoJo's adaptor doesn't match the head

Now if you think this is a one off example you are mistaken.

Taffy's response to any factual criticism is always abuse and slander.

All he has to do is be polite it's very simple.

Now everyone get off the internet go ride Thier bike it's Sunday !
