So, I had a very close uncle who passed away not too long ago and I happened to inherit his(what I think is) a 2000 FC501. I’ve got a complete bike and tons of extra parts. But I’m missing the complete motor. And all I was told is that he had it sent off to somewhere in California to be rebuilt/fixed. I’ve done a lot of research and really can’t find jack. I saw a site called “motoexotica” located in California, so I called them up and it wasn’t sent to them. But they gave me a name of a guy. Something like “dale weinaweaver”(probably butchered the last name). Can anyone give me a phone number for this guy or someone out of California who specializes in these bikes? Also if anyone has a complete engine for a 2000 model FC501 that would be interesting as well. Thanks.

The name you seek is Dale Lineaweaver. The man is a wizard-legend as far as I can tell. Good luck with the bike!, if you haven’t ridden one yet it is prudent to tell you that they are an absolute blast. My condolences on the passing of your uncle.

Thanks! Hopefully someone has a way to contact him or something more I can go off of!

I found his facebook page straight away. Dale is a veteran of the flat-track scene so you'll always find him around them. that and a lot of road racing with top pilot of the day; Kenny Noyce.

there are FC501 engines around.

just to confirm; if you have any photos of the bikem the waterpump and gubbins ran off the head right?

you can't put an electric start engine from 1996-2000 in the bike but another kickstart engine or even one from a later Husaberg 2001-2003 will shoe straight in.

cheers
