I was asking myself if the 550 07 model might be the answer over the 650 07
for a long desert event like the vegas to reno race?
I have never owned one before only ridden a couple for short stints.
I own one now & think it might just be the answer! The sibling seems to be agile
as a cat with very impressive speed. Thoughts?

? is one more reliable than the other for high speed running.

Providing everything is equal . (anyone?)

Back in 1946' I raced the 34cc class in the vegas to reno and was very impressed with the smaller displacement machines. :D Sorry, these voices just won't shut up.

Listen to the voices.......... It's much more Fun !! The little voice in my head is saying "go to Moab... go to Moab...." Hope everyone is packing and getting ready, down to counting days it'll be counting hours soon enough!

550 Question

Mr Boss:
I just got off a supercross style track yesterday with my 550 and it did very well.(some big air doubles with no problems)
The 650 would scare the ----- out of me just thinking about it on that kind of track!

I have been at the dealer test rides for a few years now and my friend has a new 650 so we go back and forth on them. (we like the 550s better)

The 550 is as fast on top and quicker from 0 -55 in our opinion, and a little more friendly in the tight stuff and turns better.

The 550 can serve as a cross over bike better than anything made for a good sized guy in my opinion.

The 650 is just to big of a piston going up and down for me in WORCS type racing and a lot of desert and moto.

What other kind of bike can you do over 90mph and then go to a supercross track on?

Go 550 and you will be conserving some energy as well!

If you can get to Reno you are welcome to do a 35 mile fast desert loop I have set up.
I can ride my 300.
Good Luck!
