Hello every one, I just bought my first Husy, its a 94 FC600, I was just wondering if there was any thing to watch out for on the bike, any thing special about it, or any useful info on it.

Thanks,
Mitch

welcome to the site. anything to watch out for? jeebus, you just bought a 14 year old race bike! bet its amonster when its running, huh?
spend some time doing searches on this site.

was this the one sold on ebay in the UK last night? a streetbike?

i would ask the last owner EXACTLY what has been done to the engine? whats the mileage? because you have to treat the old girls with respect!

ned will correct me but this model may never have been produced as an SM? so they only had to worry about a blipped throttle twixt corners!

anyway, good luck with it and if we can help you we will!

regards

Taffy

Well the engine was rebuilt in O5, the original owner kept rely good care of the bike and the guy I bout it from raced motorcycles for 32 years and he kept good care of it too. The bike starts every time. I don't know how many hours it has on it and as for a monster, if you mean bad *** then yes.

again, just pull up a chair and have a go at the search function about the early models. you should also read the owners doc even though most of the info has to do with the models '01 up, you'll still learn a lot.
learn about adjusting valves, oil changes, service intervals, etc.
manuals for the pre '01 bikes, even tho maybe not your year are available at www.husaberg.se

Dont forget to download copies of the owners, parts & workshop manuals. The mother site http://www.husaberg.com/Downloads.33.0.html has them for free.

I see the workshop manuals there are only '01 onwards but there is a '99 in the UHE downloads section. You might have to make do with that but most of it should be pretty close. I've got a '98 manual if you need anything from it.

I too just go my fist 'Berg. I concur with what's being said here and I'd also recommend taking it to a professional mechanic right away and have them look it over.
