Heres a few pics and a short clip of how we play on the ice here, so take it for what it is, just another way to have fun on your berg.

For tyres I personally prefer finndubb which freely translates to 'studs of finland', theyre just 7,5mm long but very thin, so instead of breaking the ice they pentrate it giving excellent grip. Some use normal enduro studs which is fine too, but the finndubb allows you to lean the bike much more in the turns, hence it turns much better.

Normal procedure for a day is we meet up and then put a log fire on, go out on the ice and have some fun and then bbq, tell a few stories and then do a few heats if all are up for it. Simple stuff enjoying ourselves it is, nothing fancy, just another way of having fun on your berg :)

The spike tires you have are intented for ice racing, enduro studs are designed for single track and dirt roads.
Some consider enduro studs extremely dangerous on the ice track, the traction they have on ice is nowhere near a spike tire and you can't lean them as hard unless you have custom enduro studs with more angled side-studs.
The ice spikes wear out a lot faster, can't go thru snow as well and can rip off knobs because the huge traction.

I DO change to enduro studs when on enduro ground, this is meant as a display for another usage.
There is noone saying enduro studs is more dangerous than finndubbs, we all ride together and were fine 99%.
Get positive! I just showed our playground basics, that all.
The above Ive done for a long time on other marks :)

Hey TomTom, I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just tried to tell other people who might be interested in the difference of winter tires.

I first took it bad I admit, but later I read it over and decided not to be cranky, and Im not such a person, Im the positive bubbling kind laughing at disaster.
Your post can easily be interpreted as clumpsy still ;)

Tom Tom your to kind my Swedish friend !! You were only getting your point across no need for apologies :spin:

It's quite common that these things happen when there are communication between Finns and Swedes :D Different styles (generally Swedes go around and make sure to not step on anyones toes while Finns go straight to the point).

That is why they battle it out with "finn-kampen". They meet up with the best from both countries and they compete for their country, not for personal fame.
- track and field
- ice hockey
- motorsports (drivers from both tarmac and gravel go mixed tracks for one week)
- poker
- you name it....

Like brothers ;)

SO I suggests all the husaberg Finns and Swedes should meet up twice a year. Summer and Winter competitions. Only husabergs! Lets get it on!!!!

Aussies and kiwis share the same friendly rivalries, we are always keen fior a trans-tasman stoush.:p

Wow, that looks like fun! With those studs, the riding style resembles dirt flat track.

When you wreck at those speeds on ice, how far until you stop sliding? Seems like you might end up across the lake!

Indeed its very similar, front brake on these but then there are hairpins in the track, if youd make an oval track it would be the same yes.

How far...you bring a book attached to the tank and starts reading, after two chapters its usually at rest :D Biggest problem comes after that, as theres nothing to grip on its quite a challenge to get the bike upright.

Spring is early this year so it was more of watersports this weekend, best way ever to get the bike cleaned!

that is some really wild stuff!

i love the little sitting-down pirouette, like he's a 3D model being rotated

Attended my first national race Sunday. Lots of new things to take in with the arrangement and such, but good fun! Bike was very good, no problems.

Starting grid, Im on #48, gets awfully tight into first corner with this lot :)
