I was out riding when....

I was out riding when my 2002 650 went to hell. I was driving along when suddenly the engine made a horrible noise. Kinda high-pitch and uneven. I pulled in the clutch and the engine sounded fine again. I rolled into a bus-stop, but then the engine stalled. I could not start the bike again because the kick starter would not move. I can push it so that it stands straight up, but no further...

Any ideas as to what could be wrong with my bike?

No i am sorry to hear that but if it is a gone er then by my 07 650, still under warrentee

Pull the clutch cover and have a look around.

if you are a competent mechanic you should download the service and workshop manuals. like berger says:

drop the oil
drop the water
exhaust system out
clutch cover off
undo everything to see.
