aaronc70 said:I had about 15 good hours on my '10 Husaberg after fixing the fuel pump issue with a CA Cycleworks pump. Today I drove an hour to ride a great trail I only have access to once a year and the bike wouldn't start (after having rode around the neighborhood last night for a check-out, like I always do cause I'm still not confident in the fuel system). The pump itself is working (I can hear it) but the bike's not getting fuel. It lights off fine when you pour gas down the throttle body, so it's not the plug or fuel map. I'm going to pull the pump out of the tank and check my connections, and then look at the injector. I'm only at 24 hours on this bike. I want to love (and do like it when I'm riding it) but I can't have a bike that fails on me, I don't get enough riding days or paycheck to waste on a $8000 dollar bike that doesn't run when I expect it to. I feel your pain Spencer66.
Can anybody point me in the direction to a good troubleshooting thread that deals with the injector and voltages on the electrical connections? The service manual has about 3 pages on taking off and installing the throttle body, nothing on the removing/replacing the injector.
Sounds like a clogged injector. Here is what I do. I pull the injector and let it point off to the side while still connected to the bike. I look at the fuel delivery. It should make a nice mist while you are turning over your bike with the button. If it is spitting and drooling, you have a clogged injector. I use compressed air and carb cleaner to clean it out. Disconnect the fuel injector hose from the disconnect. Remove the hose from the fuel rail. take apart the fuel injecto (press fit 2 pieces) Spray carb cleaner into injector. Use a rubber tip to mate the air to the delivery side of the injector and back flush. Fill with carb cleaner and do it again. You injector does come apart. Be careful with the O-ring between the two pieces of injector.
