Hi guy's have you ever had a bike you loved so much that you can't shut up about it? If your answer is yes, then maybe you will understand. Maybe you will be able to explain why when we love a product, we want everyone else to love it too! Maybe you are wondering "what is this doing under ride reports?" . Here is why. This afternoon I got back from a demo ride event I put on at the Seven Springs Lodge in Tuscumbia Al. I had several 2010 model KTMs and Two Husabergs, a 2010 FE390, and a 2009 FE570. The bike that drew the most interest was FE390. Several people told me that they came to the event just to ride that bike. The first two guy's that showed up to ride picked the FE390 and the FE570. Seven Springs had laid us out a 2 mile loop, which included a various terrain that ended in a field, as the two guy's emerged from the field they got wadded up with each other less than 50 feet from our set-up. The end result was a bent shifter and a broken battery post on the FE570. So it was out of commission as I did not bring extra parts. I then volunteered my personal bike (09 FE570) for participants to experience. Well to sum things up, my bike and the FE390 were both the biggest hits of the day. At the end of the day all but one fellow (the one that crashed the demo FE570) Preferred the FE390 over the FE570, one fellow asked to ride it three times. Now to be fair to the FE390, we may have had a better result if it were set-up like my bike, with Rekluse and LHRB. But over and over I heard several comments that they could not believe how sweet the FE570 was. I know this isn't news to anyone here, but It felt good, almost like I have been vindicated, as I have been saying that to customers multiple times every day. I'm sure that anyone that purchases a FE390 will be extremely satisfied as it is an amazing machine. However let me say you should consider the big bore and ride one before you buy, as if you make your purchase decision based on conventional (less is lighter) wisdom, you may be missing a more enjoyable experience.
