I just blew up my husaberg fc550. The bike is only ridden as a supermoto, I want some more power, any suggestions while i have the cases split? I would love to upgrade my internals across the board, but i can't seem to find any info on options? PLEASE HELP BERG FAMILY! Also can you swap plastics from 08 to 02 they look incredibly similar? Thanks guys

 Or you could ignore Taffy completely and just put some go faster stripes on the plastics :D

Thanks for your insight Taf, I'm sorry though, I did not realize that my other thread was still alive I thought it was in "My Specifics". Where do I find info on piston kits?

thanks
j

jadamo you need to do your ticket before you're a member of this family. appealing for help on that ticket gets you *** of the week sirloin steak. so just suck it in for once otherwise i'm not coming to new york in september to kick yo *** dude!

plastics fit from '01 to '08 - all the info is in the doc.

all the info on tuning is in the doc. all of it.

this is what i wrote on the other thread:
over here they are starting to use 550's as opposed to 650's because they rev quicker. also the 650 is slightly under valved but the 550 is about right out the crate.

you must remove the head first and see what's up - grab a dose of reality first.

as far as a faster top end goes well here is a list of what you need

for speed
ported both sides and 32mm exhausts
race cam: torque or top end
dual valve spring conversion
stainless inlet valves

for reliability
modern decomp
IWIS cam chain
modern cam chain tensioner blade (use the 450/550 on the 650)
keihin FCR carb bored to 42mm or extraordinarily to 44mm with belmouth and filter

there is thread running right now on pistons and i don't see your problem? it says on the tin "oem 2006 piston" is that confusing?

regards

Taffy

sorry to hear that. but be positive. you haven't smashed the top end and so all the stuff that got damaged you were going to replace for reliability and or improve for power. so out of the ashes flew .....

regards

Taffy
