I am a Husaberg fan sense I bought my bike, I love it, really a wonderful machine, As you may know I am waiting for the new 09 Husa, I am really excited about it.

Talking with friends of mine all from my enduro group about the new bike and everything, all think wonderful things about the bike but that is not the thing, many of them or I may say all, think the bike is very big for me, I am 1.73 mts and I weight 70 kgs, they say I have become tricky to handle a bike as big and powerful as my bike, many say I should go for a small bike, maybe 2 stroke, once I all ready tryed the new 300 from KTM and in a small course I made better times with my bike, but my friends say because I am use to my bike, I think they in some way right, I would hate to go with other brand and most of all 2 Stroke engine.

what do you think taking in hand my numbers, Is the Husa made for a big Swedish 2.10 mts and 110 kgms, do you think I could become faster on a small bike.

Cheers

Ricardo

1.73 meters = 5'8"

70 kgs = 154lbs.

Let's see if we can get you some input from the US readers...

HI Ricardo,
Most rides/races are made up of slow technical to fast open sections, too choose a bike that may be better only for one area does not make it a better bike. The key for most is simply choose a bike that you feel comfortable with and get it set up properly for you and your riding style.Lots of seat time on a good bike will make you competitive. Most smaller engine bikes,my Husky wr125 case in point, are just as tall as a Berg.
A better level of physical fittnes will be more benificial than another bike.

you need the handlebars in the holes nearest to you ok?

secondly, you more than anyone needs to copy me and take 20mm off the end of ech bar! if you hold very wide bars and ride through cones you look like a man about to vomit!!!! so try this.

get lower bars evn with no upsweep.

fourthly, consider having some foam removed from the seat in one small area.

fifth, go to narrow alloy tank or like me melt your tank in a little.

6th, raise the forks through the clamps by 20,30, 40, 50mm. this helps a lot.

if this doesn't work buy the 2-stroke!

IMO you aren't working hard enough on getting the bike right for you!

rica_roel,

dont be led astray by your foolish friends. They are all just jealous they dont have a Husaberg. Who cares if you look small on the bike if you can ride it like you stole it  I would suggest you find new friends that ride Husabergs & keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Wal

thanks to all

I have to fallow Taffy sugestions, and I am fit, I work out 4 to 5 days a week, I feel strog aln like I said I drive my bike very good, maybe yes I had become tricky riding my big bike I really like it, low rev a lot of torque does not matter if you need to go up the hill on 3 and you miss it go on 4th no problem!! jajaja

Thanks to all I will need to ride the new bike!!
