Just writing to let my Aussie Berg mates know that I finished the A4DE, riding my 08 FE450 I managed to not only finish but completed it without losing any trail time.
I came in 215 outright 44 in class, I am very happy with that. Running tubes I managed to get through without a flat which is amazing considering how rocking some area's were
Trying to find out where all the other Berg's came, I know one of the 09's got 3rd in the veterans, 50 odd outright

see ya

Congratulations

Finishing in itself is an achieve|V|ent- video I've seen shows it was dust/rut & rock city!- no punctures in that stuff shows good line selection together with a lot of good luck! ( sorry -keypads carking it, specifically b's & |V|'s notworking consistantly).

The site for the event see|V|s to have deleted the class results that I'd seen previously for 09. I was very surprised / dissapointed with how few bergs were entered - to |V|y recollection ( of the previously available results )only about 4 or 5 entered & only a couple finishing . Strange how few entered with the see|V|ing popularity of the 09s.

I haven't spoken directly to a |V|ate who finished on silver in vets, but another |V|ate said the event was very dissapointing - sa|V|e 3 special tests for each day & only a tiny a|V|ount of the vast area available for riding used - apparently the organisers / local club didn't work together? Fro|V| what I gathered a lot of unhappy riders & a fair few protests being lodged- perhaps that's the reason why I can't find the results that were up previously? I'd be interested in your opinon |V|Rocket.

Once again , congratulations on your results

Good on you mate, a four day enduro/rallye must be awesome/bloody knackering................... think you've earn't a slab of beer, enjoy ; )

A4DE

Yeah that was a great effort, you must have had a great pit crew to help you through those extremly hard days.
Once again great effort.

Good onya Timmy, sorry I couldn't make it for the event but with a divorce & a new job I found myself low on dollars  Glad too hear you did so well & on a FE450 too. You must have been doing some major fitness regime going on before the event hey ?

Thanks all for the kind words
I must thank my 2 close riding buddies for putting there jobs on hold for basically a week to help me out, thankfully having no issues with the bike made it so much easier for me and them and it was great being able to rub some bad comments back into those that are so negative towards the Berg's
Again thanks Rolf and Mal

I have 2 regrets for the event, I wished I had run moose tubes, as the constant worry of a flat definitely removed some speed and some fun from the event
And I wished I was in my twenties again (no fear) as my final moto start was down right chicken ****, but fun all the same having passed my team mate on the last lap.

I was disappointed with the event, I was expecting something a bit tougher having DNF from a 2 day enduro weeks before I was surprised how much easier the trails/tests were, apart from one test and one trail section and the bloody rocks the event just did not live up to what I thought a 4 day enduro was all about
I am still trying to find out about final results, provisional results are still all that are available, I know of 4 berg's that finished but did hear that the Husaberg team had failed but don't know if this is true or any details
will post info when I find out
