Recently joined site and must say big thanks for all info and advice, just got an fe400. First cut out wiring rewired and moved relay under seat, then changed starter leads to big ones, gel battery fitted, fitted new ali-bronze bush in original starter motor, modded auto de-compressor to max size and filed to size once fitted. Then pressed the button and instant ignition try again and again FIRES UP EVERY TIME , then called in my KTM mates and pressed again and sat back to watch them eat my hat JUST LIKE THEY HAD PROMISED. What a site so much info, having crank balanced at moment as going through motor for piece of mind will post again.
