Nice pics of you dirt tracking, i do similar racing here, im doing a short track race in november, what tyres are you using, i was thinking of just using speedway tyres, but am considering dirt-track tyres, eg the maxxis ones, please shed some light 8)

i had a choice of the short track at lynn last night or a stock car meeting at coventry. did coventry.

would like to have got a short track in this year as i've managed to do one per year for the first three seasons. i would think you've picked a good engine there....

if it blows you know i have a 2000 FC501 here. minter. rebuilt.

Hi
Pete
I am using a Dunlop D803 trials on the rear, michelin S12 motox on the front
But pete i am racing on crushed Granite base and oil tracks
Where abouts are you....................
Another Dirt tracker, About time

im in england husados, i ised to use a front trials tyre on my grasstrack bike (speedway) and thought about a rear trials

what is grip like on straights, and are the slides controllable? like how do they grip on corners?

i ride on sand shale and grass, have you lowered your suspension? i was thinking of just dropping the yokes down the forks, is this safe to do so??

pete

ps nice to hear from ya

Hi
Pete How is the racing going
Have you had a play with the suspenders yet.....
I am trying a Mitchelin X11 Trials rear tyre this week end, Very soft comp, Should hook up well...

I let ya know

Cheers Dave

i use a trials tyre on the rear a lot. the only time its a real disadvantage is coming out of slow turns from under say 10mph. it is a positive advantage when going up rubbly hills when MX tyre weaves left to right these track straight. in wet grass they lose a lot of ground again though. on an ordinary day with the dirt of an enduro course - there's no difference!
