Time to start thinking about replacing my bike . Stationary parts
are now floating parts . I have gradually became the proud owner of
pivot pegz . Bolt holes are oversize or have inserts in them . Engine
will need complete overhaul if it makes the rest of this season .
Well over 1,000 hours of hard use would be a conservative figure .
Countless hours of maintainance and rebuilding . Bike is just plain tired .
What I am getting at is , does anyone have any inside info on re-
introduction of the FC models for 07 - Josh ? / Bret ? I guess even
new left over FC models would be worth considering .
Also considering 06 Husky TC 450 , it sounds like a good package .
However I love the simplicity of the Berg as far as repairs, maintainance
and rebuilding is concerned .
Maybe a KTM SX 450 , but that doesn't really float my boat either .
Too much crap stuffed into too little space . overwieght also .
No Japanese bikes either , been there / done that . My kids are
playing that game now , with all the after market goodies eating away at
their wallets .
If it's not asking too much maybe R&D can whip me up a MX /SX
race bike with slightly more displacement than allowed by regulation, but
not so much that anyone questions it . A slipper clutch, 50 mm closed
cartridge forks , bolts that dont shear off on my rear sprocket and a
re-designed rear shock with the resivoiur mounted higher like a KYB unit ,
so that the bladder I have installed doesn't bottom out on my chain and tear the shrader valve off . Oh yeah , a super trick single sub tank with a
self bleeding valve . Tire balls , and of course keep it all 103 kg. or less
ready to race 1/2 tank of gas . Which reminds me re-design the fuel tank
to lower the center of gravity .
That should round off the package , I will forward shipping info when bike nears completion .
Thank you for listening to me ramble on . Hope it was entertaining .
Seriously though any info on new or new non current FC's would be appreciated .
Kind Regards ,
Ryan
