The Greek importer of Husaberg and Gas Gas had organize a promotional event for the past weekend with test rides of 05 fe 450 -550 and 2 stroke 125-250-300 Gas Gas. The time table was 09.00 am to 13.00pm test ride the bikes 15.00pm to 17.00pm enduro school from (super) Mario Rinaldi (multiple times Enduro World Champion).
I was able to ride the two fe's 450-550 and the 300 Gas Gas.
The 450 had stock engine but revalved suspencion (with titanium rear spring 700 Euros!). this bike was from an other planet it was in total control at turn's with full throttle and no need of berm to hit.(it was very confusing experience for me, where the hell i had learn to ride like that?)
The 550 was the same bike that Takis Maniatis (Greek champion) race at the Greek enduro championship. The setup of the clutch and brake lever was at very strange angles for my taste and i was loosing my brake marks. the engine was little weak compered to my 501 with fcr 39mm at low rpm's but was coming very strong to high rpm's.
As for the Gas Gas 300 my opinion is that any rider have used 4 strokes for long time is to difficult to return to 2 strokes. I need at least a month to get used of the power delivery.
