He won one of two heats last weekend in the first round of the Italian champs.
From what I've read Gaspardone is the only factory backed 'Berg rider for 2008 who will enter the world champs. Too bad I can't find the place where I got this info right now. If he is able to win an Ialian champs heat he is likely to do good in the WC
He's also no more than 22 years old I think.

I wonder if there will be any "real" factory backed riders this year?? Girolami, Testu and Baraccani seem to have gone to other teams, only Occhini is left in the IPA team :?
