Hello husaberg lovers!
I just bought an SM 650 2008 model.
When i pull inn the clutch the bike keeps going forward.
In other words i have to hold in the brakes to keep it still.
It's also very hard to get the bike in neutral when the motor is Running.
Now i have tried to "bleed" the clutch? (Release air?) But it did not get better. The guy i bought it from say i need new cluth plates/discs? Do you guys think this is the problem and do you know where i can buy it? I understand that getting husaberg parts can be a hastle? Anyway, love the bike. Hope u respond. Sry 4 bad english. Peace

Are you losing fluid?
Try bleeding from the slave up to the master cylinder using a syringe.
Your English is fine.

The Norwegian Importer passed away two years ago of cancer sad to say. I can do all you need. I do about 6 parcels a week to Norway and you don't pay EU VAT nor do you get charged import duty after I've correctly valued the import docket!!!! (LOL!!!!).

Canolman is right, you can only reverse bleed these upwards. mineral oil and a syringe. also a new piston O ring won't hurt.

you could buy a pushrod 'pill' to extend the rod length incase someone has already increased the thickness using the thicker friction plates as well as the thicker steels.

for those that don't know, Husaberg in 2004 used 7 x 1.8mm frictions and (4x 1.4mm steels and (4 x 1.0mm steels) for a total of 22.2mm. the next year they went to 2.0mm frictions x 7 and 8 x 1mm steels for 22mm.

these two are the same size packs and all is well. the problem starts when the aftermarket frictions are all 2.0mmx7 and the steels are all 4x1.0mm+4x1.4mm. which is 23.6mm.

for anyone interested, I break up TWO brand new packs of steels and put 8 x 1mm together for people and get stuck with 8 x 1.4mm.

so I use up the thick steels by going
7 x 1.4mm = 8.8mm
7 x 2.0mm frictions = 14mm =22.2mm

no warpage. I'm not racing so.......

oh you spotted the extra friction?

I put two in back to back.

Taffy
