Re: Husaberg re-writes all rules/06 Fe450e weekend ride Phot
Thanks Dan, but I'm too broke to do anything right now-buy a tire. I went to the hardware store and bought some long bolts and some nylon spacers. The muffler can is now a full 5/8" offset in front and 3/4'' offset in back. It tended to rotate the muffler some so that the actual offset at the bottom edge of the can is probably slightly less then those dimensions. However that is as far as I can offset it without pulling the muffler out from its neutral position and causing the side panel to bow out.
That offset will have to do till I get a new tire. Lets hope when I go to Clear Creek this weekend with 15 Thumpertalk guys all wanting to see and hear about the new Jedi Berg, that I have fixed the rubbing problem and with the first good coat of dirt, the dirt stays on the muffler this time and no black melting tire rub marks appear.
how many Husky sells do you credit me for last year? This year you better have those Husabergs lined up and ready to go. I told some guys you're getting a bunch of 05's in too at discount prices.
Started up the Te-510 tonight just to get it running. It definitely still has the Beans! I'm faster on the FE450e in the woods, but me and The wolf are gonna do some hillclimbing at Clear Creek.
