Anyone that has an interest in either Husabergs or rallye bikes and rallye racing there is a thread over in ADVRider Racing that shows a bunch of Husaberg rallye bikes over the years.

Awesome, those long range tanks fitted with the ktm rallye headlight / visor panel are superb!!!

none of them are members here right?

see if you can't get one of them to join and give us more technical input for the last chapter in the doc. that el chott looks like a good beginners rallye.

Found this picture of Annie Seel on THIS years (2008) Dakar ride...she never got to use it in anger...

Is that a tanked EXC 530 ? it doesent appear to be a typical rallye or adventure model.

I note the normal KTM frame members and rear guard, no pannier tanks either.

Annies bike is a normal 525 with a Mecasystem rallye kit fitted up to it. The kits are made in France, cost big bucks but are the goods. Normally there are also 2 pannier tanks but she seems to have taken them off for the tour.

Actually it is a 525 with "some" mods. The same as she rode last year.

We actually talked her into entering a couple of Sumo races last year. She is no sprinter but I'm still extremely impressed by her rallye'ing.

The -98 FR400 tank. This particular one traces back to Olle Ohlsson and is now being used on Wittmann's -98 in Portugal. Capacity about 20 litres.

It's because of that thread on the adv site i am doing the wild boar this year on my berg 550............. :roll: ........thanks to safariberg for posting it up and unknowlingly pushing me over the edge
