Husaberg Rally / Baja Racer

Hey Vicente, looks great.

Where did you get the faring from ??

Can you post a shot of your cockpit, like to see how you laid it out.

Why a 550 and not a 650 ??

are you running a cush drive rear hub ??

What spring rates ahve you got front & back

Only a few days to go for you, good luck with the rallye. Will watch your progress.

Hi Vincent,

Nice work! I am talking with an American company to start selling in a few month a rally dakar kit for Husaberg, KTM, and the 4 JP. As soon as I have it on my website I will all know.

Cheers,

Gus

And same in French. And sorry for the World Cup(s).

Yes, please give us the list of your parts.

Gazza,

I am sorry but the motorcycle is on the way to the start, no photos for the fairing. The fairing is made in Brazil for Dakar racer Jean De Azevedo and very cheap US$150. The support is a replica from Mecca system with no welding and 100% alluminum. The springs still the same because I ride with stiff front forks with stock springs and oil.

In Brazil the 650 or 450 is not available only 550.
The hear Hub is stock, I have a spare wheel set.

and make sure to watch the Husaberg progress on www.sertoes.com , the start is August 8th.

Thanks everyone.

Don,

Rally racing is big in Brazil, and a lot of Brazilian made parts are available. My racing team is a small private structure which includes for 8 riders ( 4 moto and 4 quad)

- 3 Motor homes
- 4 Pick up Trucks for Assistance
- 2 Large capacity trucks
- 29 Staff personnel ( 8 mechanics, 1 crew chief, 8 drivers, 1 cooker, 2 staff)

If you are entering the rally biz you should take a closer look at Rally dos Sertoes that happen every august and even import rally parts from Brazil.

Le Frog,

I don´t care much about soccer, but 5 world titles against 1 from France. sorry........

For the parts I have a radiator cooler fan, Akrapovic Slip On, MD Replica Road Book, Mecca replica equipment structure, scoots steering damper, Pirelli Heavy Duty Tires and Bibs Mousse, BOSS Tank, Husaberg underseat and side panel tank, Honda CBR600 electric Fuel pump, CRD Skid plate, KTM 950 front fender, Brazilian made fairing, Zumo GPS, foam handgrips and custom graphics from Sig Visual www.sigvisual.com.br .

I think thats it.

What, a Brazilian who does not like soccer? You're right, I hate it as well.

You have a great bike right there. You need to show us some pics about how you make certain items fit, especially the fuel pump.

Will you have enough fuel on board? Or will you use one of these extra tanks for water?

I have 22 liters of fuel with 3 tanks, I just carry water at camelback. The fuel pump is easy to install( I think), It is electric not vacuum so just plug at battery and fuel reservoir. If you need a sketch or diagram I ask my mechanic to do it.

Hi, I dont understand why you need the fuel pump ?? it should all gravity feed ok.

Not for the sidepanel tank, it stocks about 0.5lts without the pump.

Hi, sorry but that doesnt figure to me.

The postion of the side tank petcock on your bike is at the same level as the petcock on the RHS of the main Boss tank !!

Maybe its somehting to do with where you have the tubing routed ??

My rear side tank drains totally dry.

I run the two rear tanks out first while the main tank is turned off, then switch them off and run the main tank.

I'm interested in buying a fairing similiar to Vicente's for my 2007 FE650 - anyone know how I can get one?

why not ask him direct? under his posts is the logo 'PM'. send him a PM because as you may know, he is laid up after a big gettoff in the rallye he did. so he has a little time on his hands at present!

BTW, for anyone else interested: vincente is taking a chapter of the doc just to explain how to prepare a bike for a rallye raid. watch that space!

regards

Taffy
