Now that Husaberg has gone the way of the Dodo bird how long will the supply chain of parts last i have a newer 390 and a older FE550 looking to buy a used TE250 -300

10 years exactly and they day after 10 years = they'll stop.

if the part continues in another year or model then you're safe though.

So, if you own the 2005 - 2008 450/550/650 . . . parts will stop in 2018? I'm a bit slow this morning so forgive me if the question is a way to go Captain Obvious type inquiry.

ha! ha!

we've decided to TRY and diversify Eric which means more or less that our message will get diluted from being Husaberg only and 'dyed in the wool' to just part of what we do.

I now have two great members of staff after working a 60 hour week for 7 years and we're looking into scooters for our small poor village for the local oiyks as well as AJPs and running a trail tour business.

I will continue to invest in anything that will give me an excellent return but buying 2,000gbp of plastics and decal sets and have them just sit here just isn't going to work. we had three rods for 600s here for 18-months and the last went in May this year. 3 in 18-months.......

would you order say 6? I need to make my money work harder than that.

i think what is often forgotten is that the USA population is 5 x that of the UK. that means that my home market is paltry. my "CORE" business doesn't exist.

bikes are made in
China
USA and
Germany

by the time these countries have saturated their home markets they already have a larger business than the shops of the countries that they "invade".

I can make more money out of one engine rebuild than a week of parts sales.

so we have done about 16 engine rebuilds this year of which three were fully tuned. that was good money and a joy to do as the guys were the new breed of owner: they are 'A' list earners and have heard that the FS650e is thee bike to ride.

but I have still far too many totally broke owners in a mess begging for a cheap job. but out of the 16 I've had one back and that was the one guy I tried to save money for! wouldn't you just guess it!

but it'll never be like the old days here again. it was real fun!!!! I was very proud of this site but now everything I have done for the site has been rubbished and all the articles and info gets absorbed, TAKEN FOR GRANTED.

the site has collapsed really.

if all jump out of the husaberg oldtimer train, the last one becomes rich one day

that is a daft comment and you have misunderstood the formula for destruction.

as the bikes get older, if enough parts aren't available at any one time then the bike is scrapped.

then it is too late to order stuff because the owners have already broken their bikes for a parts sale.

put that in the middle of the equation

add to that the fact that breakers are paying a premium to buy Husabergs with little damage so they can break them.

put thiose two in the middle of your equation and you have unsupported bikes.

the nearest to that that I can think of is the trials bike situation.

Just decided yesterday to not buy cheap spare parts that I actually do not need right now, lets take it as a proof that I do understand. ok, lets put this at the end of the sentence: "... if ever".

I want to keep my older 550 running so I've been picking upo the normal breakables cheaper parts online used there is a guy in the states from what i can tell buys older newer bergs and parts them out he always has a pile of parts for sale like new ...now i found a dealer in NY thats has all kinds of berg stuff clothing MX gear bling etc i have my order in for a bunch of stuff
