I would like to see a Husaberg Model Forum. Not chit-chat, just pictures with maybe a brief description. The forum could list the pictures (stock or near stock bikes) of different models by year. Maybe not a forum, but some way to view pictures of the different years without having to search the web. Maybe it could include brochures from different years. It would be a great asset for doing research or trying to explain to someone what a particular bike should look like. Just a thought.

i pledge that whatever happens we will NEVER have photos in chapter one of the doc as this is obviously not good enough for you (or the logical place!).

now there is plenty of space for you to get off your fat arse and do it yourself!

i look forward to the results!

besides schwim, there ain't a lot gooing "down" from your side of the pond and i hope i speak on behalf of most and say:

Subtle irony Taff... Are you serious?
I'm in search of good pics for a while now...

Having not seen any pics in the Doc of complete year correct bikes , how was one to know this is what you intended this for?

I would be glad to put what pictures I have in your Doc if I knew how. Enlighten me ole wizard Taffy.

Also, as I do 90% of my viewing of this site at work, I can not devote the time required to take on the task of completing all the pics. I was thinking members could insert there own pics of stock or near stock bikes to complete yearly line-ups.

If this isn't possible, Oh well.

I think it's a great idea.Stock models from every year and maybe a special or two for good measure,ie Smets replica,Premier bikes etc.Only one thing puzzles me,what's "the doc"?

jeepers..............they really need to up your medication a notch or two !

i spend about two hours per week on it on average.

watch the rear shock/suspension section take off (if you haven't noticed it already) over this next 12 months. the only thing i don't do is the photos and graphs and tables. maddel does that. but it's usually at my request so photos per se are a bit of a blind spot....

Here's an excerpt from a mail concerning the Doc Taffy sent to me on 07-06-07

Concerning the work on the Doc:

And he's right, the only things I deal with are layout issues, tables and adding and hosting pics.
Usually he drops me a note what pics he want me to add. Then I edit the articles as time permits!
Remember, we invest some of our leisure time in maintaining the Doc.

Concerning the model pics:
I like the OEM pics published by Husaberg but it's not easy to find some good ones especially of the older models.
On the other hand bikez.com has a variety of Husabeg pics e.g. like this one:

19890_0_2_4_fe%20400%20e_Image%20by%20Husaberg.%20Published%20with%20permission..jpg

Although I don't like the watermark this may be a good get-go... No idea about copyright issues too....

If someone has some good pics (or links to pics) just PM them to me and we'll see...

Thanks,
Maddel

It would be awesome to have a section devoted only to model year identification with sales brochures and pics of stock and near stock bikes, H-Line and force parts lists and perhaps pics of all the special tools.

I think the sales brochures are the best info for year to year changes and updates.

We have almost 20 years of catching up to do.

I am prepping my 1997 Fx 600 for a photo shoot soon :)

I'd love to see a bunch of brochure pics and the like from thruout the years.
If I run across any pics or links that may help I'll be sure to bookmark them.
Surely there must be a member or two that has a nice example of the earlier Bergs that they can shoot some pics of too no?

I agree. If I had all the brochures I would buy a scanner and post them or send them to Maddel. Besides that 1998 brochure I think I have a 2003 one somewhere. Maybe some of my pals have a few, I'll check.

I have 1997, 2000, & 2003 brochures. They come up on E-bay now and then. Shouldn't be too hard to get them all.

Hi there folks,
it seems this issue is gaining some momentum!

I added the 1998 model pics and specifications to the Doc yesterday.

I like all the ideas you posted so far too. I guess the Doc's article
'Year recognition and changes' may be the place where this stuff
should go in.

On the other hand there is another Wiki available at UHE.
Check out my post at this thread. Unfortunately no one seems to be
interested in such a project yet. :(

May be the Husaberg model history is a good topic to attack the
'UHE community Doc'... What do you think? Any ideas?
