If you don't mind boxing up your engine and shipping it, Thumper Racing is an excellent choice. They used to be located just North of LA but, due to the high cost of doing business in California, they relocated to Gardnerville, NV. They have a great deal of experience with Husaberg engines. They did all the machining and assembly on my big bore '96 Husaberg 660 and they currently have my '01 501 for a full rebuild, removal of the counterbalancer, and rotating assembly balance.

Thanks for the suggestion thorgan. I have boxed and shipped this engine before. I am also considering doing the job myself and sending out the machine work.
Definitely do it yourself while outsourcing the machine work, these are not complicated engines and enjoyable to work on..albeit extremely time consuming
