Good morning guys/girls.

I want to upgrade my stock headlight on my 2011 Husaberg FE570. I'm looking at the LED kit, which ebay sells for about $200. Here a copy of the link
https://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-LED-...ke:KTM&hash=item23c0d83263:g:URIAAOSw~2ldJFtt

It says that the headlight will work on models from 2014 to 2018. Is there something I can do or upgrade to get this LED light in my berg?

Thank you,
Marty

I can't say whether your linked housing will be an easy/direct retrofit into the Husaberg plate and fender. I have heard of complete KTM fender/plate/lens swaps but the Husa parts are kind of integral to each other to swap a single piece. What I ended up doing a was retrofitting this H4 Cyclops Ultra bulb into the stock housing. Stock bulb configuration IS NOT H4. Stock bulb is BA20D. I went the "modified" route to get the extra lumens (2400 x 4 emitters) vs. the Cyclops direct BA20D replacement that offers 3600 lumens.

The light output was a huge improvement but I cannot recommend my approach. Not only did I have to modify spacing and glue the bulb into place to get the best reflector spread and distancing, I also had to reconfigure all of the wiring that is normally clustered behind the plate to make room for the cooling fan and ballast. Plus, the Husaberg lens and reflector is at quite a disadvantage due to it's small size. The Baja Designs Squadron light seems to be the "go to" set up if it fits the budget.

Best of luck. With some forum searching, you should be able to gather more data of what others have done.

EDIT: Also stumbled across this post which could be helpful.

Every time I look at these lamps, I lament that I'm not a good electrician. I'm afraid to do some fraud with the wrong lamps because I was repeatedly shocked. And I constantly forget properly ground the wires, so as not to disable the car from time to time. My latest success was car interior lighting. But I don't want to take any more risks, such an experiment cost me dearly. So, I'll wait for my brother back from a business trip, who will install these lamps for me without personal loss, haha.
