How would you have less compression? Only shorter crown or dished crown would do that. Thats if the gudgeon pin height remained the same. There is only one comp ring on OEM and i think Woessner make a twin comp ring piston which would last longer. Do you mean a shorter skirt?

the top of the gudgeon pin to the top of the piston is as little as 12.7mm on a woessner and as much as 13.3mm. meanwhile a OEM piston is 14.4mm and it has the rim around the edge. thats a massive amount of compression lost as well as no squish so it's like a double whammy!
