Hi Dawson,

There's a section on stripping and rebuilding in the owners docs on the top left of the home page. :D

Thanks ill have a look and print it out if I can
Much apresated all you guys are very help full much apresated

Goin be first time I've actually striped a 4 stroke down ive only striped 2 strokes down , got a lot ov friends that can help me so wish me luck

Apart from reading all the docs etc I took loads of pics as I stripped it down just as a reminder when it all goes back together.
Should be fine as long as you keep your mates coffee cups full!

Haha yea keep the brews coming ! And cheers for the photo ideas oll do that to !

This husaberg is not goin beat me but might bankrupt me ! :? Got it all striped down took crank out to check bearing an replace then noticed the f**kin Conrod is bent ! Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! Out else ?

That's unfortunate. Hopefully the crank is ok. I recently picked up a spare crank/rod/piston for my 01 off eBay ...mind you, I've been watching for something like this for 2 years. I like to have spares just in case. Good luck on the repair. How about some photos and a rebuild thread to help us pass the time.

where are you from Dawson?

if it is a little bent it can be straightened. I've done - or should I say - had it done before.

Taffy

Hi taffy it well bent , I would put picture on but for some reason it won't let me put pics on here
I'm from County Durham , I spoke to you about my cylinder head getting fixed and a few other parts ,

rod kits are about 320gbp. then you have to have the crank split and pressed and straightened which is a 55-70gbp touch. then really, they have poor little ends and that ought to be done as well. I do a bush 15 quid cheaper than OEM at 25gbp. would you believe even I get them pressed in! they are so soft on the rim that they always burr and then I make an ugly repair so now I get that paid to be done as well!

these aren't cheap!it is nearly as cheap to find or buy a brand new 2005-8 pork chop crank at about 580gbp complete, then sell your old crank off. about evens I'd say and the satisfaction of knowing you have the better crank.

regards

Taffy

Cheers taffy There's a place in Newcastle on west gate road that will split and press it for £50 just got save some ££££ up now
