Husaberg Fe450 Cutting out

Hi, does anybody know why my 2004 husaberg 450 supermoto cuts out every now and then when idling, also my revs stay high for a couple of seconds when coming to a stop, but on idle there perfect?

Check out the throttle cable and twist grip too for the elevated idle. Worn carb slides do this on the older dellorto bikes too.

I have turned needle out 1 1/2 - 2 turns and still no joy, going to take the carb off and give it a clean incase there is abit of crap in there

if turning out the idle fuel screw doesn't do anything, it's time to run a wire thru the pilot jet.

Had carb off today and made sure pilot jet was clean, which It was. What do you mean wire it?

agree with this one. a fraying cable probably.

it could be the opposite of what Ned thinks and that you're too rich, the plug is old and can no longer 'clear' itself to fire. try some tests with the PS moved.

Taffy

Will do, i checked out cable and one of them is frayed so will replace that an see how i get on! Thanks
