Husaberg FE 501, 1992

Good morning folks,

my name is Max from Switzerland.
I am quiet new on the Husaberg forum and a virgin in relation to Husaberg motorcycles.
Last month I got a FE 501 from 1992 without engine.
I got informed, that the engines from the early years are not very stable and very hard to get on the market in complete and serviceable condition.
Question will be now, if an engine of a Husaberg FE 501 from the year 2000 will fit into the frame from 1992.
Do some body have experience in changing the engine?
I tried to get an answer on the Husaberg forum in Germany but the action was very limited.

Attached you will find a picture from the machine in present condition and I plan to get the machine back on the road.

Hi Taffy,

I bought a complete bike without registration for public roads from 2000, so I can use the engine and the exhaust system.
Regarding the other parts I need, I will come back to you as soon the frame will be back from painting.
