Husaberg FC501 or FE501

I'm a newbe with Husaberg. I just bought this bike. Awesome power great handling, but the motor already broke. Sounded like the timing chain broke. The sticker says FC501 but buddy says FE501. It's a 2000. Is this an FC501 or FE501?

look at the frame number up at the steering head. in the code it will be either FC........... or FE..............
simple!

Yep! There is an FC in the VIN. Thank you. My buddy was wrong and the seller was right.
