Hi!

I'm want to buy a Husaberg fc450,but I hear only bad things about Husaberg!
I know that this year shouldn't have any problems with electrical components, but I heard about problem with
cilindrical main bearings...

So, I want to know what all of you experts think of this bike??

Sorry for my bad english!!

Thanks, Ivan!

I was under the impression that the problems had been fixed by the 05 models.

That bike looks very nice too. :bounce3:

OK, thanks for the answers!
The owner said that he changed the piston and camchain! So for how long will it go after this, on my Yamaha YZ450 I ussualy change piston and camchain on 60hours!

Does anybody here own a FC450 '05 so he can tell me how many hours his engine run??

Depends on how you ride it. Racing, you may get 60 hours or more. Trail riding 200 hours plus.

Ivan,

Important questions to ask are:

How many hours on the bike total?

Why was the piston changed?

Has the bike been raced?

How about you, do you race? What kind of riding do you do?

To Bergers point,

My 04 FE550E has a mixture of desert racing, gp racing, enduro racing, and trail riding.

At 180 hours I changed the cam followers and the cam chain.

At 220 hours , an exhaust valve spring broke, that caused no damage. I replaced all 4 valve springs and the valves, and put in a new set of rings, which by the way were not worn out. And there were a couple of water pump seals along the way. And that's it. It still runs great with 250 hours on it. One member on this site who is currently on hiatus in New Zealand, has over 10,000 miles and 350 hours on his FE550, and all he has done is change the cam chain, and lots of oil changes.

Keep the oil clean, the air filters clean, and the valves adjusted (about every 40 hours) and the bike should last a long time.

my fc450 has been flawless since day one, best bike i have ever owned. i dont race tho more of a putt putt trail rider.
