Does anyone know how to change the Wheel Size on the 04 Stock Berg computer? (I'm getting ready to add some Tard wheels, and I'd like to show the correct speed)

Thanks.

I did see that thread, very informative. I should be more specific...

Is there a particular button sequence that you've got to be pressing to access the WS function?

Do you have to be on a certain starting screen, such as SPD/HRS or SPD/ODO?

Thank you,

Rich.

I haven't had to do it myself, I guess you will have to ask Parsko or just cut the wire and try! The function should pop up!

Joe

I always get slightly nervous when told "cut the wire". Cause I'm an electrician. And I use the 'tripmaster' functions during races... I think what I tried to do didn't work, because I disconnected the battery ground...and not the computer ground.

I'll try to disconnect all the bike to comp connectors later..that should simulate cutting the wires...and I'll post follow up.

Cheers!

Once you have cut/disconnected the correct black wire the WS setting is changable or able to be turned on or of as per the info in the links-
It does work, I have done it on 2 bikes so far.
Cheers !!

Ok, I'm not sure who updates "THE DOC" (all caps, because it is in revered status), but, please help me add the following:

To change wheel sizes on the trip computer, you don't have to cut any wires.

1. Pull headlight/numberplate forward.
2. Ensure you have a backup battery.
3. Disconnect the power/ground/ground wire from the computer.
4. Get into the setup function of your computer.
5. Cycle through your settings until you get to "WS". If it isn't there, you didn't disconnect the right wire.
6. The Wheel Size is in MM, the formula is Pi X D.
7. Measure Tire Height across the center and multiply by 3.14. (much easier if measured in MM).
8. Use up/down buttons to set new wheel size (or adjust if your previous calibration was in error).
9. Plug in bike power to computer.
10. Re attach headlight/numberplate.
11. RIDE!

FE,

Sorry, forgot to pay my internet bill at home, so I wasn't around this weekend.

From what I gather, it seems you have done it. I just re-read the post, and realized I never posted my pics, I'll have to do that. I'm pretty sure I still have them at home somewhere. It is pretty straightforward once you get into it, and know which one to cut ;)

Once you get it, you'll be quite happy with what you can do with it. It's a pretty powerfull little dashboard!
