Hey
The bearing on the rocket arms has blowed on my Husaberg FE 650 2002

I have took up everything and it seems like the eninge is ok accept the bearing.
Also held out the oil and looked very nice.

Anybody who have experienced this before?

Is it safe to just change the bearing and clean the engine?

you need to file the inside of the fork. you can see a "trench" made by the needle rollers. file this away even if the fork becomes wider.

it has happened many, many times before. you should try and go to a dual valve spring kit or upgrade the cam to a later '08' cam (08 is the code not the year!) or change rocker arms to the later design but if you just renenw the bearing you must be really careful and always set your tappets well.

was this the inlet or the exhaust that 'went'?

Sounds great Taffy

Can you give me a list over what parts i need to upgrade?

Do you have these parts?

And how about your Race cam?
Will i notice alot more power on mye 650 02?
I have a Akropovic exhaust now.

Also need battery and starter.

Thanks for GOOD help

which cam follower bearing went? i need to ask this first.

Grasstracepete: Price on that one?

Taffy:It is the bearing on the right side of the engine, not the clutch side..Do you know what i mean?
But the 08 cam gives more power that my standard cam?

hang on??????
are you on about the bearing that supports the cam or the bearing in the end of the rocker arm?

if it's the right side cam follower bearing that is gone then it is that of the inlet rocker arm? if so you need to immediately check whether the inlet valves are tuliping. so please remove both inlets and check. i and weed have photos of tuliped valves in our gallery's.

Taffy:Will i notice some more power with the 08 cam?

Or should i go for the race cam?

Is it worth the extra money difference?

i must have said it a couple of times on the phone today but if you lug the 53 in 4th at 5kph it will win, if you change gear as normal - the 08 wins, if you thrash them through the gears - the 08 wins.

the torque cam isn't worth the extra over what you are paying no. all it really does is make them quieter and slightly better mechanically. the difference in power would be marginally better with my cam but not worth the extra.

phew!

hope that helps!
