Does any one know the differences between the 09 upto 12 on the 570s?
I've had a quick search but didn't come across much.

I will start w my limited knowledge.

2009:
Only year w feedback FI. Runs an O2 sensor in the exhaust.

2010:
FE gets headlight

2011:
FE gets the closed chamber forks w the compression adjusters on the tops.
There is a FE570S in the mix w full street lighting package.

- fwiw, the EU models had sliiiiightly different changes. My 2010 model-year 570 has an O2 sensor, for instance.

2009 have steeper rake. They are also famous for bad fuel pumps. They do not have low fuel level sensor.

2010 came with a bit more rake and low fuel sensor.

2011 have closed cartridge forks and better fuel pumps.

2012 is a copy of 2011 with yellow frame.

So does the fuel light on my 2009 bike mean I have a low fuel level sensor ? And was there any performance increase between years?

compression was raised a bit, afaik in 2010, for better or worse :) I like high compression!

besides that not that I know - except suspension ... opinions vary on the performance thereof

from memory the fuel pumps were dodgy until oct 2011?

fuel filter mesh was a bit too fine and got easily clogged until the 2012 models.

chances are though that any secondhand berg will have had these bits replaced already.

Thanks everyone for your input.

I need to check on the fuel pump at some point but it seems to be working just fine at the moment.

I'm assuming your Uk as it's got Leeds under your pic.

Wouldn't worry about fuel pump have never heard of one going in the uk, I'm sure some where it did happen but not on the mass scale that has occurred in other countries, and suspect it was a lot to do with the additives that certain countries have in their fuels.

I've had one fail on me riding in the states on a borrowed bike.
