I have taken the leap and gone blue and bought a 390 2011 , anything I should or do ?? or are they just fine as they are..
Also the previous owner lowered the seat , anybody got a normal seat they want to sell or swap for a lowered one.

They are really solid from stock so I would ride it and enjoy it! Change oil regularly, I do every 10 hours and filter every third change. If engine starts to sound rattly it could be he cam chain tensioner, which failed on some early ones. Some good after market ones from DJH Sports and Dirt tricks.

Find a good dealer on husabergs and they will offer good advice.

Welcome.
I think it would be a good idea if you fitted a restrictor until you get used to it.
It is a big step up from the orange shi+ that you have been riding before :mrgreen:

The seats on these have almost no padding, so if it was cut, it'd be horrible. They sell a low/std/high version. My buddy has the high and says it is pretty good. I had the std and it sucked, too hard. I drilled 1" holes from the plastic side and that made the pan and foam softer.

I don't know if the UK bikes are corked up from the factory, but the US bikes are horribly so. We have to remove smog stuff, and cut restrictors from the muffler, or better yet get a new muffler. Then we install the 'competition' map to get some fuel back into the system.

If you contact the main dealer in uk, Midwest based in melksham, they should sort you out. I had the standard and it was fine, also had short and it was good together used to the bike initial but preferred the standard. I am 5' 9 with a 29 inch inside leg if that helps.

Did you buy the one on eBay? If so a new seat will do wonders for it!

Cheers lads bit of fettling today revalved front and rear suspenders and shortened the rear shock , new oils and tyres , and I got a new seat today .
So I have a spare cut down seat if anybody wants one
